How it Works

The Future Focused coaching program begins with a consultation, conducted by a professional coach with both the parent(s) and the student. The coach assesses the unique needs of the student and develops an individualized action plan for success, ($100).

It is essential that the students decide that they want to do the coaching program. Academic Coaching is a way for students to start taking ownership over their grades and develop a better sense of responsibility for their choices. In order to help them do this effectively, we need them to be on board with the program. In the consultation, we develop a connection with the student and have them honestly evaluate their lives in seven different areas. Based on this activity, students are able to clearly see how their present choices impact their future dreams. More often than not, students are very receptive to coaching and feel a sense of relief that they are being given a fresh start; a chance to become the people they are capable of being.

Assuming the student is ready to begin the coaching program, the coach will go over exactly what will be emphasized during the eight weeks. Although Future Focused tailors its programs to meet the specialized needs of our students, each program is centered around the core components of
our philosophy in order to help students improve academically:

• Goal-setting
• Academic Skill-building (Organization, Time-management, & Study skills)
• Connecting to a passion
• Developing a future direction
• Providing accountability

Cost: $750; includes two 30 minute parent phone calls and unlimited emails.
